UDF Functions

The UDF tab opens the tab area for buttons whose function is defined by the user. To assign a definition, the user need only click on a blank tab. Tabs can either be assigned a specific function f(x), or assigned to run a user created script. In the above UDF tab, X^X and Hail are defined as functions, while the other tabs are defined as scripts. The button for each tab can be assigned a name up to seven characters and given its own unique color. Functions, when run assign the value in the active calc level to “x” inside the function, and return the result of the calculation in the active calc level.  

Scripts, on the other hand can do many different things which don’t necessarily pertain to the value in the active calc level.  For example, “I-dates” is a script which uses the Date Calculator to access upcoming important dates.  Here’s how the script result appears when you click the button.
